11th Open nights Festival, PYR/FIRE

11th Open nights Festival, PYR/FIRE decorre de 19 a 29 de novembro de 2026, em Larissa.

FIRE (ΠΥΡ) - 11th Edition This year, the festival embraces the theme of FIRE (ΠΥΡ), exploring it as a natural, spiritual, mythological, and cultural phenomenon. To us, fire is far more than a chemical reaction. It is a living, biochemical, ecological, mythological, and cultural process: born from life and returning to life, dissolving all that photosynthesis has composed.Through the theme of fire, the festival aspires to connect the natural environment with individual and social values, illuminate the role of culture in shaping our values and behaviors toward nature, and explore the physical, spiritual, and symbolic dimensions of fire through contemporary artistic creation. True to its interdisciplinary spirit, this edition is anchored by a group visual and photographic exhibition, complemented by a rich program of dance, theatre, music, and poetry performances, film screenings, and artistic residencies. Workshops and lectures/discussions further enrich the experience, bridging the arts with scientific fields such as Literature, Philosophy, History, and Archaeology - nurturing the experiential dimension of artistic expression in dialogue with science.
