21th edition of Arabesques festival decorre a 7 de setembro de 2027, em Montpellier.

The Arabesques Festival is a unique festival in Europe dedicated to the music and culture of the Arab world. The Festival had its origins and took root in the diverse community of Montpellier, with its strong links to culture around the shores of the Mediterranean. Created in 2006, the Festival Arabesques aims to encourage the visibility of Arab artists and to promote dialogue and cultural diversity with a wide audience. It presents an opportunity to explore the diversity of Arab culture through music, theatre, tales, movies, dance, and calligraphy, from its traditional heritage through to contemporary creations. The Festival takes place once a year in September and is accompanied by a social and educational engagement program led by the music association Uni’SONS, working with marginalised communities in the suburbs of Montpellier. A professional event occurs at the same time, showcasing about 10 emerging musicians from arab countries.
