*** Sound has the ability to soothe both body and mind. It changes our brain waves and gently coaxes an overactive mind to drop its defences and relax. The sound vibrations go through our body and interact with our tissues and cells. Tension, stress and trapped emotions can be released and our nervous system may feel more in balance. What to Expect During the Journey: This session is a dedicated space for deep rest, healing, and quiet self-exploration. Before the sound journey begins, we will gather to get comfortable, settle into the space, and connect with our breath. We will start our time together with a short, gentle guided meditation and visualisation. Once you are settled, you will be invited to close your eyes, and immerse yourself in the sound. What to Bring: Yoga mats, bolsters and blankets are provided by the venue but feel free to bring your own yoga mat, a small pillow or cushion for your head, and a bottle of water. Wear warm, comfortable layers as your body temperature will naturally drop when you enter deep relaxation. Is This Session Right for You? This sound journey is a deeply relaxing, acoustic experience designed for general wellbeing and open to everyone. Because the instruments create resonant physical vibrations and a space for deep stillness, there are just a few instances where you might want to take extra care: Pregnancy & Epilepsy: If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy or experience sound-induced epilepsy, we gently suggest checking in with your GP or midwife before booking to ensure a sound bath feels right for you. Emotional Wellbeing: If you are currently navigating severe anxiety, acute trauma, or a particularly fragile emotional time, please feel free to message me beforehand so I can best support your comfort and grounding. Pacemakers & Implants: If you have a fitted pacemaker or medical metal implants, please let me know before we begin so I can ensure instruments are played at a comfortable distance from you. The Venue & Logistics 📍 The Venue: Bristol School of Yoga, 16 Backfields Lane, Bristol, BS2 8QW 🚗 Parking: You are free to park in St. Pauls permit holders parking without having to display a permit. There is also a 'Just Park' available on Backfields Lane and in Broadmead, Bristol. Alternatively, the nearest car park to the venue, that has no limit on the time you can stay, is St James Barton, approximately 5 minutes walk from the studio. ⏰ Arriving: Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to settle in, find your space, and get comfortable. Out of respect for the quiet nature of the journey, the doors will close promptly at the start time and late arrivals cannot be admitted. ⏳ Duration: The session will last 1 h and 15min.
