Award Ceremony and Exhibition: International Contest for Minority Artists 2026 Join us for an evening celebrating the creativity and human rights engagement of the laureates of the 5th edition of the International Contest for Minority Artists (2026) , organized this year on the theme "War and Reconciliation". Since 2022, the International Contest for Minority Artists has been organized by UN Human Rights (OHCHR) in partnership with Freemuse , Minority Rights Group International (MRG) , Ecolint's Centre des Arts and the City of Geneva . The Contest provides a unique platform for minority artists who, through their creative work, advocate for human rights and amplify the voices and experiences of minority communities around the world. During the Award Ceremony , we will honor and celebrate outstanding minority artists from across the globe. Through diverse artistic practices and mediums, the 2026 laureates explore the experiences of national, ethnic, linguistic and religious minorities affected by war, displacement, exclusion and violence, while also highlighting stories of resilience, solidarity, healing and reconciliation. Organized with the support of the Centre des Arts of the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) , the ceremony will be accompanied by an exhibition showcasing the works of the 2026 laureates. Programme 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Opening remarks, presentation of the laureates of the 5th International Contest for Minority Artists (2026), and artistic performance 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Cocktail reception with the laureates and visit of the exhibition The ceremony will be held in English and French , with simultaneous interpretation available in both languages . Guests are kindly requested to arrive by 6:30 p.m. Exhibition: War and Reconciliation The exhibition "War and Reconciliation" will be presented at the Centre des Arts of the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) and will feature selected works by the 2026 laureates. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with powerful artistic reflections on conflict and reconciliation. Access The Centre des arts is located between the route de Chêne and the route de Malagnou, a short walk from the TPG trams 12 and 17 Grange-Canal stop, and a few minutes away from the TPG buses 5, 25, 61 Rieu stop, via the promenade Charles-Martin and the chemin de la Petite-Boissière. The campus parking has 100 spaces available for evening events only. During the day we recommend that our guests use public transport.
