About

Between the Waves acontece a 11 de novembro de 2026, Absent Lisbon - Offline Café & Third Space, em Lisboa.

You've stared at the same bug for three hours. You close the laptop, go for a walk, and the fix hits you halfway down the street. That's not luck. It's INCUBATION: when you step back, your mind drops assumptions, reframes the problem, and starts linking ideas you'd never connect while staring at the screen. Join us for an evening of relaxed networking built around this idea. A short talk will unpack how incubation actually works, how you can practice it deliberately, and why breakthroughs often come when you step back, not when you push harder through a sprint. Then it's drinks, conversation, and swapping stories about where your best solutions really came from. Developer for 20 years, surf instructor, and AI coach at Oktogon Labs, Rafael “Rafa” Ribeiro will give a short talk on what the waves taught him about solving problems in code, and why your next breakthrough might come when you’re not looking for it.
