About
Caulbearers - ‘Come Back Home’ Album Launch Party & Gig sobe ao palco de 10 a 11 de outubro de 2026, The Carlton Club, em Manchester.
Manchester band Caulbearers celebrate the release of their album ‘Come Back Home’ with a launch party & live gig featuring a stellar line up of collective members and contributors on stage.
The band are joined by superb vocalist Ruth Blake for this date, and special guest singer Kerry Bowers.
Support comes from John Haycock who will be joined by Mark Tranter for a live set combining African kora with Latin American & Spanish guitar. The duo will share new compositions and cross-cultural improvisations.
DJ Nay Daze providing the tunes until 1am. Now based in Todmorden, Nathan hails from Norwich and is a first class collector and selector of vinyl with an encyclopedic knowledge of dance music across genres and eras.
Fittingly, The Carlton Club is the first place the band ever rehearsed together many moons ago, in a dusty room one floor above the main live space.
Based on the songs of producer and vocalist Damien Mahoney, the ensemble weave together elements of hip-hop, funk, dub, soul and jazz, with plenty of grit and discord in the mix.
Their sound has been described as …”roots music from the rainy city… psychedelic soul with poetic, social observation.”

"Impressive... what it might sound like were you to cross Bill Laswell and Massive Attack with Laura Marling and Mojave 3... stellar, believable and inspiring."

“Funky and original…All music should be this progressive”
~ Jammerzine
Caulbearers create music that shines like a mystical mosaic and whose fragmented pieces create a visceral, celebratory and abstract work of art.”
