About

Cookbook Club @ Good Company Books acontece a 22 de novembro de 2026, Good Company Books, em Lisboa.

What to expect from this event? Each month, we gather to explore a new cookbook together. Once the book is chosen, every participant selects a recipe that catches their interest and prepares it at home. You’re encouraged to make the recipe by yourself! Feel free to add your personal touches, substitutions, or creative twists. When we meet, everyone brings their dish to share, creating a table full of diverse interpretations from the same cookbook. Our gatherings take place at Good Company Bookstore, where we enjoy the food, exchange ideas, and talk about what worked (or didn’t!) in each recipe. Cookbook of the month: Cook This Book by Molly Baz Bursting with bold flavours, fun recipes, and plenty of personality, this cookbook is all about making cooking feel less intimidating and a whole lot more exciting. From her famous Caesar salad to comforting pastas and flavour-packed dishes, Molly encourages home cooks to experiment, trust their instincts, and most importantly, have fun in the kitchen. Molly Baz is a cookbook author, recipe developer, and former Bon Appétit food editor known for her playful approach to food and love of big, punchy flavours. In Cook This Book, she shares not just recipes but the tips, techniques, and little tricks that make everyday cooking better. Whether you’re a confident cook or just finding your feet in the kitchen, there’s plenty to discover, cook, and share! Get your copy! A word from your hostess: I'm Francine, originally from the Philippines, with over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry. My career began in the United States, where I studied Baking & Pastry Arts and gained my first Michelin-star restaurant experience in New York. From there, I moved to London, continuing my work in Michelin-starred kitchens for more than six years. Later, I co-opened a café in Paris with my sister, gradually transitioning from pastry chef to barista. Today, I'm the café manager at Good Company, where I collaborate on menu development, bake cakes in the mornings, and prepare coffees for our guests. Tickets for the event: To secure your place, you must purchase a ticket, which can be used as a voucher for a drink at the bar on the day of the event. The space is limited, so sign up fast to make sure you will secure your slot! After you sign up you will receive via email a Recipes Sheet for our Cookbook Club. Please add your name, chosen recipe, and any dietary restrictions in the appropriate section (Appetisers, Mains/Sides, or Desserts). This system helps us avoid duplicate dishes, ensures a well-balanced spread across the table, and allows everyone to be aware of any dietary restrictions or allergies so that we can all enjoy the meal safely and comfortably. Each category has 5 slots, which will be filled as people sign up. Once a section is full, please choose another category. The Venue Good Company Books is an independent English Bookstore in Lisbon. Born from our love of global literature and our Portuguese heritage, we are crafting a space for people of all backgrounds to gather and enjoy the best books, events, coffee, and wine. Find out more on our Instagram. How To Find Us By Metro: We're situated a 5-minute walk from the Campo Pequeno metro (Yellow line) and a 10-minute walk from the Alameda metro (Green & Red lines).
