A meticulous fusion of his multifaceted background and vast experiences in the realm of music, he crafts a musical tapestry, unveiling the many treasures discovered throughout his exploration and time in the scene. * / ABOUT PLAYROOTS BIO Playroots is the artistic name of Aníbal Valenzuela (39), multi-instrumentalist musician, DJ and Chilean producer. His musical path began around the age of 10 when he found an old organ that nobody used, lying around his house. That led him to the world of music where he is until today. Formed as keyboard player, and with piano studies, he plays different instruments such as djembe, kalimba, hangdrum and the balafon. He also plays string instruments and flutes, all present in his musical compositions. His constant musical search led him to extend his way to the turntables, developing in parallel his vein as a DJ. He has been playing for more than 15 years, in main clubs from Santiago. His musical roots come from black music and he manages to blend it with downtempo and electronic rhythms with shades of Africa and Latin America. He has found his own sound when it comes to producing, djing and playing live. * / ABOUT MIKE STELLAR Since 1996 Mike Stellar has been one of the driving forces behind the music scene in Portugal. Starting off as a promoter, Mike Stellar then caught an addition for vinyl playing, pursuing and developing this passion throughout numerous performances. Always on the quest for the perfect beat, Mike Stellar doesn't confine to any particular style. His sets propose an explosive mix and meandering of genres, such as bass, nu-jazz, breakbeat, deep-house, Detroit techno, afrobeat and funk, interwoven together through groove.
