The Science into Practice Conference is an annual event that gives pharmacy students, trainees and wider healthcare students the chance to explore the scientific and research-driven side of pharmacy practice. It bridges the gap between pharmaceutical science and its application in healthcare, covering the research and development of new medicines and technologies, translational science and evidence-based practice, as well as opportunities in industry, academia and clinical research. What's on the day: Icebreaker and networking task : Start the day by meeting fellow students and trainees. Morning sessions: Choose from three sessions exploring the cutting edge of pharmacy: - One Size Doesn't Fit All: Personalising Medicines with Genomics - Houston, We Have a Prescription: The Rise of Astropharmacy - Data to Decisions: How AI Is Changing Pharmacy Practice Workshop: Your Route into Pharma: Applications, CVs and What Recruiters Want: A practical session on how industry recruitment differs from NHS applications, how to adapt your CV, and how to stand out. A special Keynote Address from the Chief Scientist of the Royal College of Pharmacy Panel: Where Science Meets Strategy: Life Working in Pharma: Professionals working in medical affairs, regulatory affairs and clinical trials optimisation share their journeys and answer your questions. Accord Healthcare workshop: An interactive session led by our sponsor. The day finishes with closing reflections, thank yous and photos, followed by time to network with speakers, sponsors and fellow students.
