wintry galician woman gallega invernal Lucía Seles • 2026 • Argentina, Espanha / Argentina, Spain • 66’ • DCP Estreia Internacional / International Premiere Sinopse / Synopsis When una mujer ama too many a una confitería. When una mujer ama too many a una confitería. In Seles’s world, the poetic projection and cinematic craftsmanship take shape through a religious (to use one of her own terms) devotion to reality. In this light, patisseries are central spaces. Here, the Manhattan bakery in A Coruña becomes a pivotal location around which Seles constructs one of the most moving works in her filmography. A solitary filmmaker attentively films the women of this bakery in a foreign land and imagines ways of belonging. A film of such intimacy that it silently deepens our emotional connection with a distant place.
