About

How to divorce a narcissist: A conference for survivors realiza-se a 27 de fevereiro de 2027, IET Birmingham: Austin Court, em Birmingham.

About the conference For anyone considering leaving a narcissistic relationship, or navigating separation or divorce, this conference is for you. For many survivors, abuse does not end when the relationship ends. Separation, divorce and family court proceedings can become new ways to maintain control, with legal processes, finances and children used to prolong conflict and make moving forward even harder. Conventional divorce advice rarely prepares you for this reality. The systems that should offer a route to safety and resolution can instead become another arena for post-separation abuse. Hosted by leading narcissism expert Dr Supriya McKenna, with family lawyer Matthew Taylor, Caron Kipping, a Master Practitioner Divorce Coach and independent domestic violence advocate (IDVA) and further guests, How to divorce a narcissist: A conference for survivors brings together expert insight, specialist legal guidance, practical strategies and lived experience. It will help you understand what is happening, prepare to leave as safely as possible and manage the divorce process ahead. Please note this event is not aimed at professionals working in this space. Saturday 27 February 2027 | Birmingham, UK What the conference will cover Throughout the day, our speakers and expert panellists will explore: Understanding narcissistic behaviour and why leaving can be so difficult Preparing to leave safely and limiting post-separation abuse Communication strategies, boundaries and managing conflict Finding the right family lawyer and explaining patterns of behaviour clearly Navigating the family justice system and understanding its limitations Managing “lawfare”, delays, non-disclosure and rising legal costs Protecting your finances and navigating arrangements for children Coping throughout the process, recovering and rebuilding your life What to expect The day will include: Specialist family law information and practical guidance Expert panel discussions and audience Q&A Honest insights from people with lived experience Practical communication and coping strategies Opportunities to connect with people who understand This will not be a day of abstract theory. The conference will focus on the realities survivors face, providing practical information to help you feel better informed, better prepared and less alone. We will announce further speakers, panellists and programme details as they are confirmed. Who is the conference for? This is a conference for survivors at every stage of leaving a narcissistic relationship, including those who are: Considering or preparing to leave Going through separation, divorce or family court proceedings Experiencing high-conflict communication or post-separation abuse Navigating parenting, financial disputes or recovery Your current or former partner does not need to have a formal diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder for you to attend.
