The art of the samurai sword is still alive and can be practiced today at the Niten Institute in London! Using the traditional way of learning ( katas ) and actual combat ( Kenjutsu ) , we study and practice hundreds of stances and fighting techniques and martial styles , the same way done by the Samurai centuries ago. In Niten we study several traditional Samurai martial arts schools (such as Suio Ryu Iai Kenpo - made famous by the graphic novel Lone Wolf and Cub, Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu - created 700 years ago, Shindo Muso Ryu Jojutsu , Kasumi Shinto Ryu Kenjutsu , among others), with particular focus in the Niten Ichi Ryu , the famous techniques of two swords developed by the samurai Miyamoto Musashi Sensei, who was undefeated in more than 60 duels against the most skilled samurai of his age.
