Sunday 25th October Meet: 9:00AM 📍 Bamford with Thornhill Recreation Ground ⛰️ Difficulty: Moderate 🥾 Approx. distance: 4km ⏱️ Estimated walking time: 1 and a half hours 💷 £4 refundable deposit Come and spend your Sunday morning outside with us as we head into the Peak District for ournext Amore Wellness ladies-only hike 💕 Expect beautiful Peak District scenery, views across Ladybower Reservoir, fresh air, plenty of chats and a supportive group of women to walk alongside. This is a moderate hike, so you should have a reasonable level of fitness and be comfortable walking uphill, over uneven ground and on potentially muddy or slippery terrain. You absolutely do not need to come with anyone. Lots of our girls join their first Amore hike solo and leave knowing half the group. 🤍 📍 MEETING POINT Bamford with Thornhill Recreation Ground Please arrive for 9:00AM ready for introductions, a kit check and safety briefing before we set off. The car park is pay and display, so please arrive with enough time to park and sort your parking before the meeting time. ⏱️ ROUTE & TIMINGS 🥾 Approx. distance: 7 km / 4.3 miles ⏱️ Estimated walking time: 2.5–3 hours ⛰️ Difficulty: Moderate With a 9:00AM meeting time, we expect to be finished at approximately 12:00PM. Please remember this is only an estimate. Our finish time may change depending on the group pace, weather conditions, rest stops and time spent enjoying the views. ⛰️ WHAT TO EXPECT 🥾 Moderate hiking terrain ⛰️ Uphill sections and uneven ground 🌿 Peak District trails and open countryside 📸 Beautiful views across Ladybower Reservoir 💕 Supportive ladies-only group ☕ Plenty of opportunities to stop, chat and enjoy the views ‍♀️ Perfect for coming solo and meeting new women This is a moderate hike rather than a flat beginner walk, so please make sure you're comfortable being on your feet for several hours and walking over uneven terrain. 🎒 ESSENTIAL KIT Please bring: 🥾 Walking boots with good grip — walking boots are required 🧥 Waterproof coat 🧶 Warm layers 👖 Suitable walking clothing 💧 Plenty of water 🥪 Packed lunch and snacks 🧢 Hat and gloves depending on conditions 🎒 Comfortable backpack 📱 Fully charged mobile phone 💊 Any personal medication you may require The weather can change quickly in the Peaks, especially in October, so please come prepared for different conditions. We will send a weather update and final essential kit checklist closer to the hike. ⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING Although this is classed as a moderate hike, outdoor conditions can make any route more challenging. You should be comfortable walking uphill and on uneven, rocky, wet or muddy terrain. The group will stay together and our hike leaders will set an appropriate group pace. Safety comes first. The planned route may be adapted, shortened or postponed if weather conditions make the hike unsafe. 📸 PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO Please be aware that photos and short videos may be taken during this event for Amore Wellness social media, website and promotional content. We always want everyone attending our events to feel comfortable. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please let a member of the Amore Wellness team know when you arrive. We will make sure this is respected throughout the event. You are always welcome to take part in the event without appearing in any photos or videos. By booking, you acknowledge that photography and filming may take place during the session, but you can opt out of being included at any time. 💷 £4 REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT To secure your space, we ask for a £4 refundable deposit. This helps us reduce no-shows and make sure spaces go to women who genuinely want to attend. Your £4 will be refunded after you attend the hike, or you can choose to leave it as a donation towards Amore Wellness and helping us continue creating affordable activities for women in the community. Spaces are limited, so please only book if you're able to attend. 💕 COMING SOLO? Please don't let coming alone stop you. A huge part of Amore Wellness is creating spaces where women can try something new without already needing to know somebody. We'll introduce everyone before we start and encourage the group to mix throughout the walk. Lots of women attend our events alone for the first time, so you definitely won't be the only one.
