About

METEOR decorre de 11 a 20 de novembro de 2027, em Bergen.

From 2027 on, Sentralbadet Scenekunsthus in the historic city of Bergen transforms into a laboratory for boundary-pushing artistic expression during the METEOR festival. Organised by Bergen Internasjonale Teater, METEOR has established itself since its inception in 2001 as one of Scandinavia’s premier international festivals for contemporary theatre and experimental performing arts. Until 2025, it was held as a biennial event. Beginning in 2027, it will transition into an annual festival dedicated to performing arts, contemporary theatre, and dance. METEOR serves as a vital platform where risk-taking and institutional curiosity take centre stage. Under the artistic guidance of curatorial leadership, such as BIT artistic director Bettina Kogler, METEOR is intentionally designed to sit at the intersection of local engagement and global artistic movements.
