Maak je op voor een ‘gloomy’ Valentijnsdag: Mothica komt naar Melkweg met haar nieuwe EP !Mckenzie Ellis, de artiest achter Mothica, keert terug met haar onlangs uitgebrachte EP ‘Somewhere In Between’. Op de singles ‘WEAPON’, ‘Save Your Roses’ en ‘Evergreen Misery’ laat ze een luider en zwaarder geluid horen dan we van Mothica gewend zijn. Voor de EP werkte ze samen met Elliot Polokoff (Drop Dead Gorgeous), Curt Martin (Catch Your Breath) en Zach Jones (The Home Team, Scene Queen, Fever 333).‘Evergreen Misery’ is beïnvloed door haar liefde voor metalcore en door bands waarmee ze opgroeide, zoals Nine Inch Nails, Bring Me The Horizon en Evanescence. Het resultaat is een mix van darkpop, rock en metal. Support komt van “Goth Queen” Harpy.
