Open Data Forum

Open Data Forum realiza-se a 18 de novembro de 2026, CONVENDUM - kontorshotell, em Stockholm.

Skip the generic AI hype and high-level pitch decks. We’re breaking down the actual production stack—real-time streaming, DAG orchestration, vector search, open databases, and zero-trust infra — to show how a vendor-free data pipeline actually connects under the hood. WHO ARE WE? Hosted by Nion, hands-on technology and delivery specialists, alongside our partners IBM and Arrow. Open Data Forum brings together deep technical insights from stack heavyweights including Confluent, Astronomer, Red Hat, HashiCorp, and EDB/PostgreSQL. WHAT TO EXPECT? A session-by-session, live reference architecture build. You’ll see how these six distinct open technologies integrate at the system level—solving the real-world engineering hurdles of latency, security, scale, and schema control from raw data ingest to enterprise AI output. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Data Engineers, Solutions Architects, Developers, CTOs, and Tech Leads — alongside the business decision-makers driving data and AI infrastructure. AGENDA 08:00–09:15 — Breakfast & Check-in 09:15–09:50 — No AI Without IA Simon Forshaw, CCO at Nion • Why an open, modular data foundation is the only sustainable base for enterprise AI that delivers real business value. 09:50–10:30 — Keynote: Scalable AI at Bank Grade Mattias Fras, Head of AI at Nordea • Real-world insights: How Nordea navigates data governance, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure in production. 10:30–10:45 — Coffee Break 10:45–11:20 — Step 1: Real-Time Data Streaming Maria Tennare, RSD Nordics at Confluent • A real-time data architecture that continuously capture, process, govern and serve a company’s current state to applications, AI agents, and analytics from one trusted source. 11:25–12:00 — Step 2: DAG Orchestration & Visibility Michael Lim, Global VP Strategic Alliances at Astronomer • Full control, lineage, and observability across complex pipelines powered by Apache Airflow. 12:00–13:00 — Lunch 13:00–13:35 — Step 3: Open Databases & Vector Search Jakob Brandel, Director & Head of Sales Engineering EMEA at Postgre • How PostgreSQL and vector search deliver rich context to LLMs and enterprise AI without database lock-in. 13:40–14:15 — Step 4: Beyond the AI Stack: Are We Ready for Quantum? Anna Kazakova Lindegren, AI Customer Success Engineer & Quantum Ambassador at IBM • This session will be devoted to quantum computing: what it is, what it is good for, how it will integrate with today’s computing architecture, and why we need to start thinking about it now. 14:15–14:30 — Fika Break 14:30–15:05 — Step 5: Open AI Without Lock-In TBA at RedHat • How open source creates a better, more transparent, and safer AI infrastructure without vendor lock-in. 15:10–15:45 — Step 6: Zero-Trust Infra & Security Michael Andersson, Senior Security Technical Specialist at HashiCorp • Automated security, identity management, and access control across a distributed architecture. 15:45–16:45 — Panel: Does the Architecture Hold Up in Reality? Led by Tahira Naeem, Arrow. Participats TBA. • Live Integration & Sanity Check: Connecting all 6 layers on stage. Honest review of TCO, latency, and integration, followed by 20 minutes of open audience Q&A. 17:00 — Networking Event Agenda subject to change. Free event. Food & drinks included. Limited spots. A warm welcome from the Nion team!
