Come and join us at Simply for a moving and handling study day aimed at problem solving moving and handling paediatric and young adults with complex healthcare needs. The day will be filled with learning and networking opportunities with like minded professionals. This study is perfect for healthcare professionals and case managers in the NHS and independent selector who want to expand their moving and handling knowledge for people who present with complex healthcare needs. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enhance your skills, make valuable connections, learn new techniques in moving and handling and improve your awareness of new equipment on the market. The study day will review current legislation and evidence based practice, including complex risk assessments and documentation. There will be a strong practical element to the day and delegates will be actively encouraged to participate and practise skills demonstrated by the trainer such as fitting and removing slings, techniques for helping get dressed and undressed, manual lifting and associated risks, using a profiling bed to assist independence with handling, in bed management systems and, therapeutic handling and the use of moving and handling equipment to aid functional therapeutic tasks. The practical element will be supported with problem solving case studies from the trainers extensive practice and experience. Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance and access to relevant resources. Lunch and Refreshments will be provided . Unfortunately specialist dietary requirements cannot be catered for.
