People's Emergency Briefing screening

People's Emergency Briefing screening acontece a 15 de outubro de 2026, Players Theatre, em Hurstpierpoint.

The climate and nature crisis threatens all aspects of British life, from national security to the food supply. Despite the scale of the risks now facing the UK, there has been no comprehensive national emergency briefing delivered to the public by the Government. To counter this, on 27 November 2025, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of more than 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media in Westminster. The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy, and did so on the public record. Its purpose was to demonstrate what a clear, evidence-led national emergency briefing could look like and why it is needed. Come and see the film that was made from that day. “Attending the National Emergency Briefing has given me a real understanding of the urgency and horror of the climate challenge, whilst also making me feel hopeful.” Please note: there will be a bar available before the event which we encourage you to use. All bar proceeds will go to Hurst Players who are very generously lending us the theatre for free to show this film. Huge thanks also to Hurst Village Cinema for their help in organising this screening,
