Porto Pianofest 2027 - 12.Ed.

Porto Pianofest 2027 - 12.Ed. sobe ao palco de 1 a 11 de agosto de 2027, no Porto.

Porto Pianofest returns in August 2027 for its 12th edition, continuing its mission to establish Porto as a destination for piano and cultural excellence. Founded in 2016 by Nuno Marques and Mariel Mayz, the festival has grown from a local initiative into an international platform. It brings world-class pianists to the city’s historic venues and connects European and North American approaches to music education. It holds the Alto Patrocínio da Presidência da República Portuguesa and is co-produced with the Câmara Municipal do Porto, its principal partner since the beginning. Centred on the piano, the festival presents established masters alongside emerging stars, with a firm commitment to exclusive content. Around 70% of its artist programming each year is a Portugal premiere, and the programme regularly includes world premieres and unique artistic projects. Jazz, contemporary music, and cross-disciplinary collaborations sit beside the classical repertoire. The festival is built on the conviction that music improves lives, enhances creativity, and is a catalyst for change. Past artists include Artur Pizarro, Alexander Kobrin, José Ramon Méndez, Baptiste Trotignon, Anthony De Mare, Lara Downes, Yosvany Terry, and Clarice Assad.
