Our open studio sessions are for anyone who wants to play and practice with clay in a relaxed, social environment. Discounts available for those on lower incomes, please see the bottom of the listing information for the discount codes (this is the easiest way we could do it on Eventbrite!). This is not a class. The sessions are untaught. Attending a class first is not mandatory but highly recommended for you to get the best out of your sessions. You are expected to be able to work independently but there will be an experienced potter to welcome you to the studio and offer support. We have a small collection of pottery books & magazines for inspiration. You will have access to all of our ceramics equipment, tools and materials including clay, slips, underglazes and glazes. You will be able to select a Wheel ticket for wheelthrowing or a Table ticket for handbuilding/glazing at checkout. You can use as much of our studio clay to practice with as you like and will only be charged for any pieces you choose to keep and fire in the kiln. Fired pieces are currently charged at £1.10 per 100g of the final weight after glaze firing. Sessions are 2 hours long, allowing approximately 1.5hrs for making and 30 mins for cleaning. If you are new to ceramics it's important to know that it can take two or three sessions to see through the whole process to a finished piece. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult, you must book spaces for everyone attending as we are a small studio and need to carefully manage numbers in the space. Work from the Open Studio will be stored in communal boxes between sessions - we don't have space for high production or large scale works. --. Please bring: Your own towel(s) for clean up and an apron if you wish. -- We want creative activities to be more accessible. T he full price ticket is the lowest we can charge to cover our costs . If you are on low/no income we can subsidise spaces from our Pay it Forward fund. Please use the discount codes below for a subsidised space: If you are on a low income, minimum wage, use the discount code " 6off " at checkout for a £6 reduction. If you are unwaged, unemployed, on benefits, use the discount code " 12off " for a £12 reduction. We won't ask for any proof, please just pay what you can afford :)

How do I find my photos?
