Sobre

Sean Nós Dancing with Seána Redmond acontece a 1 de novembro de 2026, Cois Abhann, em Inistioge.

Seána Redmond is a musician, sean-nós dancer, teagascóir Gaeilge and fluent Irish speaker from Co. Wexford. It was while living and studying in the Connemara Gaeltacht that Seána fell in love with sean-nós (old-style) dance. Her workshops aim to connect participants with the deep roots of Éire through this ancient Irish art form. Seána is passionate about the promotion and preservation of the Irish language and arts. Her recent composition on the uilleann pipes, Caoineadh Sheáin Uí Cheallaigh (A Lament for John Kelly the Boy from Killanne), was described by the Wexford People as reflecting "Redmond's commitment to preserving and reinterpreting Irish cultural traditions through music, poetry and sean-nós influences." This is the first track on her recent album release, OUTLAW, as featured on Independent.ie Children and adults are welcome to join this workshop (8+). Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
