Susanna Clarke in conversation with V. E. Schwab - London acontece a 22 de outubro de 2026, St Mary's Church, em London.

Join us for a very special evening with the multi-million copy bestselling and award-winning author Susanna Clarke, in conversation with V. E. Schwab, as we celebrate the release of The Bishop of Durham Attempts to Surrender the City . From the internationally bestselling and prize-winning author of Piranesi and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell comes an enchanting and haunting illustrated short story full of medieval magic. In 1110 A.D., the fairy host sweeps across the North of England and the city of Durham is under siege. Wearily the Bishop of Durham, Ranulf Flambard, prepares to surrender – something which proves far more difficult than he could have imagined. His quest will lead him through a landscape of unco-operative rivers and enchanted forests to a New Castle on the banks of the River Tyne – where, with any luck, he will be received by a court of deceptive, would-be fairy queens, shape-shifting stags and a beautiful teenage Raven King. Susanna Clarke will be in conversation with fellow novelist V. E. Schwab, the Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling author of more than twenty books. Schwab's series and standalone titles for readers of all ages have made her a major literary figure, whose notable works include the Villains series, the Shades of Magic universe, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil . Susanna Clarke will be signing books after the talk. Please note Susanna will sign two books per person: one copy of The Bishop of Durham and one additional book. The Book & Ticket bundle includes a copy of The Bishop of Durham for collection on the evening.
