Team Summit: Bernia West Ridge Team Summit heads to the iconic Serra de Bèrnia—a dramatic coastal range rising high above the Alicante skyline, culminating at the Bernia West Summit (1,126 m). Designed as the ultimate Team Summit Taster Event , this route is crafted for hikers looking for a taste of real mountain adventure without taking a massive leap into complex technical climbing. It’s a gentle, controlled step into the world of scrambling—giving you a hands-on feel for rock, height, and movement while keeping the overall technical difficulty well within reach. The circular route ascends the western flank using steep rock rakes, broad ledges, and short, secure steps assisted by fixed chains. Widely regarded as one of the region’s best introductory scrambles, it’s the perfect playground to test your head for heights, practice foot placement, and build confidence on open terrain—all with a supportive team around you. The full loop covers roughly 8–10 km. While the distance is manageable, the hands-on nature of the trail naturally slows the pace down, giving everyone plenty of time to find their rhythm, enjoy the route-finding, and take in the panoramic coastal views. Expect grippy limestone, incredible atmosphere, and just enough airy perspective to get the adrenaline going. The Bernia West Ridge is all about progression, trying something new, and finding your flow on the rock—the ideal first step into the world beyond standard hiking! 🧗 What’s Included Guided ridge scramble adventure (Grade 1+ linea route) All necessary equipment (helmet) Insurance coverage Support and encouragement from the Team Summit community 🎒 What to Bring Comfortable sportswear & sturdy footwear Water and snacks ⚠️ Requirements & Notes Suitable for those with a reasonable fitness level Minimum age: 16
