THE WITCH OF KONOTOP — TOUR 2027
The very same “The Witch of Konotop”,
based on the novella by Hryhorii
Kvitka-Osnovianenko, for which it is
almost impossible to get tickets in time.
Following its resounding success in Ukraine,
the production embarked on an international
tour and has already conquered stages
across Europe, the United Kingdom and
the United States, playing to full houses
and sold-out audiences. In 2027, the
legendary production continues its journey
around the world.
“The Witch of Konotop” is one of the most
talked-about theatrical events of recent
years, created by director Ivan Uryvskyi at
the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama
Theatre and based on the novella of the
same name by Hryhorii
Kvitka-Osnovianenko.
This is not simply a classic story. It is a
contemporary theatrical interpretation in
which Ukrainian folklore, mysticism and
humour intertwine with themes of choice,
freedom, human nature, faith and strength
of spirit. The production combines tradition
with an innovative theatrical style, creating
