WORKSHOP - ALCHEMY OF SOUND WITH REBECCA & MELODY aconteceu a 3 de setembro de 2022, casa reîa, em Costa da Caparica.
A powerful 2 hour journey of self inquiry into mystery and magic.
An informative talk on the properties and therapeutic benefits of sound, followed by vocal exercises to help tune, tone, de-stress and harmonise. Inspired by tantric breath practices, we’ll then practice a three-part breath enabling disconnection from the “monkey mind”, balancing the nervous system and guiding us to heightened states of awareness. This practice closes with a sound journey combining over-tone instruments and voice such as gongs, crystal bowls, chimes and more.
There will be an opportunity to share at the end. Open to all. No prior experience necessary.
REBECCA HAJEK
Rebecca Hajek is a New Yorker recently transplanted to Lisbon, Portugal who has been studying yoga and meditation for over 20 years. She incorporates breathwork, bhakti, mantra, and yogic philosophy into her teachings to allow students to cultivate self-love, agency and liberation in the body, mind and spirit.
MELODY SANDERSON
Now settled in Lisbon, Portugal, Melody went from singing in dark jazz clubs in the streets of London to developing and sharing her voice in sound baths and singing circles. Inspired by various mantras, ancient chants and medicine songs, Melody explores the subtleties of sound powered by intention. Dedicated to healing, her angelic voice and intuitive use of her instruments transport her audience while providing deep relaxation and restoration.
