Yoga Mantra Dance — Breathe. Move. Find your rhythm. Join Tom and Peter for an evening of breathwork, movement, music, mantra and meditation at St Clement’s Church in Chorlton. Yoga Mantra Dance is a guided moving meditation, with space to loosen up, move with the music and settle into stillness. Whether you’re curious about meditation, enjoy dancing or simply fancy trying something different, you’re welcome to join us. What to expect We’ll begin with guided breathing and gentle stretching, easing into movement and shaking to warm up and loosen the body. From there, we’ll move into free-flow dance, accompanied by rhythmic music and mantra. There are no routines to learn — you can find your own rhythm and move at your own pace. We’ll also explore vocal toning: using simple, sustained sounds such as “Om”, alongside mantra chanting. You can join in or simply listen, with no pressure to sing or sound a certain way. The evening will gradually slow down, finishing with quiet, seated meditation and time to rest. You don’t need to be flexible or have any experience of yoga, dance, chanting or meditation. Everything is guided, and you’re encouraged to take breaks whenever you need them. Come on your own or bring a friend. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring some water.
