About
Reading hour (Bilbao) acontece a 5 de outubro de 2026, Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, em Bilbao.
Your weekly hour to: 1. Slow down 2. Put your phone away 3. (re)Train your attention to focus on just one thing: a good book. What is it? A weekly moment to pause and read. We gather, open our books, and spend an hour focused, offline. That’s it. Sit together or apart. Talk if you feel like it, or stay completely in your own space. No structure beyond showing up and reading. There is no host: you make the meetup happen by showing up. If more people join: great. If nobody else join: great too. Just keep reading ☺️ Exact meeting point https://maps.app.goo.gl/v3ppXeHky372BAUR9 Agenda 17:50 - 18:00 pm - Readers arrive and find seats 18:00 - 19:00 pm - Quiet reading hour Optional social time: 19:00 - 19:30 pm - Chat about books, people or ideas... Connect with the other participants On the facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/2130689834996071 Say hi, leave a comment in the Discussion section, so others know you are joining this week :) Why join? Reading alone is nice, but reading in the company of others can also feel amazing. It hits different. This hour gives you a clean break from the constant stimulations of modern life. No screens, no interruptions - just one hour to read and be present. Being offline is simple and refreshing. Who is this for? People who want to slow down, read more, be less distracted. No need to be social, no need to perform. Just show up. Feel free to invite your friends, grandma, colleagues, crush… (Note: in case it rains, then let's all consider the reading hour is cancelled. See you next week!) Reading Hour meetups are happening in cities all over the world. I feel many of us want this, but don't exactly know how to go about it. I hope this helps a little bit. I also work as a certified coach: I support people who feel stuck in "auto-pilot" to overcome overwhelm by rebuilding their sense of agency and congruence in the decisions and actions they take. All this to ultimately live more fulfilling lives. Projects I'm working on here: linktr.ee/pierrebonvalot 🔗
