Memzo and TIME&SPACE both let a guest take a selfie and see their photos. They charge differently, store differently and answer different questions about where your guests' faces are processed.

TIME&SPACE vs Memzo: Per-Photo Pricing or Per-Event Plans?

In short: Memzo and TIME&SPACE do the same core job: a guest takes a selfie and sees the photos they are in, with no app to download. The differences are in the price model, where the data lives and what surrounds the matching. Memzo charges per photo and is cheaper by sticker price for most events. We charge per event, host in the EU, publish our biometric retention, and include analytics, branding, a public event page and optional photography crews. Which one fits depends on whether your priority is the lowest bill or the most complete setup for a client-facing event.

What Memzo Is

Memzo is an event photo sharing product run by Oneglint Media Solutions Pvt Ltd, with contact details in India. Checked on 20 October 2026 on their own site, it lets guests find their photos by taking a selfie, with no app download, and also supports selling photos to guests. Photos are uploaded directly or pulled from Google Drive, and stored at 4K resolution.

Their stated pricing is 3 US cents per photo for sharing, so 1,000 photos cost 30 dollars, with the first 300 photos free on the single-event plan and a 0% commission on photo sales. A recurring multi-event plan exists with no listed price. Guest numbers are not limited. Their site states a 99.3% accuracy figure; we repeat that as their claim and have not tested it.

Where TIME&SPACE Is Stronger

A stated place for your guests' faces. Face matching processes biometric data, so where it runs matters to any organiser who answers to a data protection officer. Ours is hosted in the EU, and we publish the retention in our privacy policy: explicit consent before the selfie, selfie data deleted after 30 days, and the face index deleted one year after the photo is uploaded. Memzo's privacy policy describes explicit opt-in consent and cites GDPR, but we found no storage region stated in it, only the infrastructure providers it names. If your client asks where the data sits, we can answer in one line.

Everything around the matching is included. Every plan has analytics, unlimited team members and a gallery that stays live for 365 days. Advanced and Pro add Event Branding: your colours, logo and font in the guest gallery. Each event gets its own public page that guests and search engines can find.

One price per event, not a meter. A per-photo fee scales with how much your photographers shoot, which is hard to budget before the event. Pro is 888 EUR with unlimited photos and up to 15,000 guests, however many frames come back.

We can supply the photographers. Our agency arm can shoot the event, then the same team delivers the photos. Memzo is software for photos you already have.

Local and bilingual. We are based in Lisbon and work in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Memzo's site is in English.

Where Memzo Is Stronger

Price for most events, and we say so plainly. At 3 cents a photo, 1,500 photos cost about 45 dollars and 5,000 photos about 150 dollars, against our 188 and 488 euros for those same volumes. On sticker price alone, the two only meet at around 30,000 photos, before any exchange rate. If your event is small and you only need the matching, Memzo costs less.

Pay later, with a free start. The first 300 photos are free and events can be created before you pay. We have no free tier and no trial.

Longer storage on a single event. They state up to two years of access. Ours is 365 days on every plan.

No guest cap. They state unlimited guests. Our plans are capped: 500, 2,000, then up to 15,000.

Selling photos to guests. Their product supports it. Ours does not.

GDPR: What Changes When the Vendor Is Outside the EU

Face matching processes biometric data, which GDPR treats as a special category (Article 9) that normally needs the person's explicit consent. Three things follow for an organiser whose guests are in the EU, and none of them depends on which vendor you pick:

  • The rules follow your guests, not the vendor's address. GDPR applies to processing aimed at people in the EU even when the company is based elsewhere (Article 3(2)).
  • Moving the data out of the EU needs a legal mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses (Chapter V). If the vendor will not say where the data sits, you cannot check this.
  • You are normally the controller, the vendor is your processor. That means a data processing agreement, a known storage location, a stated retention period and an answer to who handles a deletion request.

What Memzo's own documents say, read on 20 October 2026. Memzo is run by Oneglint Media Solutions Pvt Ltd, with contact details in India. Their privacy policy cites GDPR and describes explicit, separate opt-in consent at the time of the selfie. It names Amazon Web Services and DigitalOcean as providers but, in the pages we read, no storage region. It says paid-event data is purged two years after the event is created.

What to ask Memzo before you buy: where the face data is stored, for how long, under which transfer mechanism, whether they will sign a data processing agreement, whether they have an EU representative, and how a guest withdraws consent.

On our side: TIME&SPACE is based in Portugal, stores and processes biometric data only in the EU, gets explicit tick-box consent before the selfie, deletes selfie data after 30 days and the face index one year after the photo is uploaded, and provides a data processing agreement. The detail is in our privacy policy. This is general information, not legal advice; your own data protection officer or lawyer should decide.

Which One to Choose

Choose Memzo for a smaller event where the lowest bill matters most, you have the photos already, and you are comfortable with the data terms in their policy.

Choose TIME&SPACE for a conference, festival or corporate event where a client or legal team will ask where face data is processed, where you want one fixed price however many photos come back, and where branding, analytics and a public event page matter. Add our photographers if you do not have them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does Memzo cost?

As of 20 October 2026 their site states 3 US cents per photo for sharing, with the first 300 photos free on the single-event plan and no commission on photo sales. A multi-event plan is available through their sales team with no listed price. Ours is 188, 488 and 888 EUR per event, see pricing.

Q: Is Memzo cheaper than TIME&SPACE?

For most events, yes, on sticker price. The numbers only come close at very high photo counts. What we offer for the difference is the EU-hosted, consent-first setup and the features around the matching.

Q: Where does Memzo store face data?

Their privacy policy describes explicit opt-in consent and names its infrastructure providers, but we did not find a storage region stated. If it matters to you, ask them directly.

Q: Can I try both?

Memzo has a free start. We have no free tier, so compare using a past event's volume and your client's data requirements.
