In short: Both are selfie-based photo delivery for events, so this is a real like-for-like comparison. TurtlePic is a storage subscription with a free tier and low monthly prices. We sell per-event plans built around Europe, explicit consent, published retention and an agency that can shoot the event. If you want the lowest price, TurtlePic is cheaper than us. What TurtlePic Is
TurtlePic is an AI photo-sharing platform for events. Hosts upload photos and videos, and guests scan a QR code, register, take a selfie and are shown the photos they appear in. Their site says no app is needed, and that paid plans can send each guest a private WhatsApp message with a gallery link. Checked on 20 October 2026, their pricing page lists a Free Forever tier (5 GB, 5 events at a time) and paid plans from Starter (50 GB) to Elite (2 TB), with unlimited events on every paid plan. Storage is the dimension they charge for.
Where TIME&SPACE Is Stronger
Consent and retention are written down. Guests tick an explicit box before the selfie. The selfie image is deleted after 30 days and the face index one year after the photo was uploaded. All of it is in our privacy policy. Their privacy policy, which we read on 20 October 2026, says face embeddings are kept while an event or subscription is active, and does not describe a consent step before the selfie.
EU hosting, stated. Our data sits in the EU and we say so. The pages of theirs that we read on 20 October 2026 do not state a hosting region.
Everything is included in the event price. Every plan has a 365-day gallery, analytics and unlimited team members. ADVANCED and PRO add Event Branding. You do not have to work out which tier unlocks which feature.
No storage maths. PRO carries unlimited photos, so a large shoot does not push you into a bigger plan.
We can supply the crews. Our agency arm shoots the event if you want it to. Their site describes software, not photography teams.

Price. Their yearly plans run from about 68 EUR (Starter, 50 GB) to about 378 EUR (Elite, 2 TB), excluding tax, with unlimited events. Our cheapest event plan is 188 EUR for one event. For someone running many small events across a year, theirs is far cheaper. We do not claim otherwise.
A free tier. Theirs has no card and no expiry. We have no free tier and no trial.
WhatsApp delivery and Google Drive import are on their paid plans. We do not offer WhatsApp delivery.
Subscription flexibility. Monthly, quarterly and yearly billing against our one-off event plans.

No performance figures are compared here. TurtlePic's site states an average accuracy of 99.9% from tests on public datasets, and we are only repeating their claim, not endorsing or testing it. Prices were read from their live site on 20 October 2026 and will change.
GDPR: What Changes When the Vendor Is Outside the EU
Face matching processes biometric data, which GDPR treats as a special category (Article 9) that normally needs the person's explicit consent. Three things follow for an organiser whose guests are in the EU, and none of them depends on which vendor you pick:
- The rules follow your guests, not the vendor's address. GDPR applies to processing aimed at people in the EU even when the company is based elsewhere (Article 3(2)).
- Moving the data out of the EU needs a legal mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses (Chapter V). If the vendor will not say where the data sits, you cannot check this.
- You are normally the controller, the vendor is your processor. That means a data processing agreement, a known storage location, a stated retention period and an answer to who handles a deletion request.
What TurtlePic's own documents say, read on 20 October 2026. TurtlePic's privacy policy lists a registered office in Gurugram, India, for Metafirst Technologies. It says face embeddings are kept only while an event or subscription is active. In the pages we read it names no hosting region and describes no separate consent step for the selfie.
What to ask TurtlePic before you buy: where the face data is stored, for how long, under which transfer mechanism, whether they will sign a data processing agreement, whether they have an EU representative, and how a guest withdraws consent.
