TIME&SPACE vs Fotify: Guest Uploads or Photographer Photos?
TIME&SPACE · Business of Events
Fotify and TIME&SPACE both put a QR code on your table, and they do opposite things with it. One collects photos from your guests. The other delivers the photographer's photos to them.
TIME&SPACE vs Fotify: Guest Uploads or Photographer Photos?
In short: Both put a QR code on your tables and both are about event photos, which is why they get compared. They point in opposite directions. Fotify collects photos from your guests onto a shared wall, and adds invitations, RSVP and event games around that. We deliver the photographer's photos to your guests by face match. If your event has no professional photographer, Fotify is the more useful product and it costs a fraction of ours. If it does, the two solve different halves of the same evening.
What Fotify Is
Fotify is a live event photo sharing and digital RSVP product. Guests scan a QR code and upload their own photos and short videos, which appear on a shared gallery and a live display. Around that sit digital invitations, RSVP and seating management, guest video clips, event games, DJ song requests and an AI event planner. Checked on 23 September 2026, their site runs in around nineteen languages including Portuguese, and prices in euros for a visitor in Portugal.
Worth stating plainly, because the category label misleads: their site does not describe face recognition. We searched their homepage on 23 September 2026 for "face recognition", "facial recognition" and "selfie" and found none of them. Whether anything of that kind runs inside the product is not something we can see, and we are not going to assert it in either direction. What their public material sells is guest-contributed photos, not matching a person to a photographer's frames.
Where Fotify Is Stronger
Price, and it is not close. Their published per-event plans run from a free tier (50 photos) up to about 49.99 EUR, with a professional tier above that. Ours starts at 188 EUR. That gap is not them undercutting us; it is a different product with a different cost base. Nobody is uploading five thousand professional frames or running face indexing on them.
A genuine free tier. They have one. We do not, and we say so plainly.
Invitations, RSVP and seating. They sit before the event as well as during it. We do nothing before the doors open.
Guest video. Short clips from guests, including longer ones for speeches and vows on the higher tier. We are photos only.
Buy now, use anytime. You can buy an event and activate it whenever, which is a genuinely good answer to "I do not have a date yet". They also publish a money-back guarantee. We have neither.
Self-serve and multilingual at a scale we do not match, around nineteen languages against our three.
Where TIME&SPACE Is Stronger
The photos people actually want are the photographer's, and only one of us delivers those. At a conference or a festival the memorable frames come from someone with a real camera who knows how to use it. Guest uploads are a different, warmer kind of record: blurry, close, personal, and not a substitute. We index the photographer's photos and give each guest the ones they are in.
Nobody has to do anything to receive their photos. With guest uploads, the shared wall only fills if guests remember to upload. Our guests take one selfie and receive; they are not asked to contribute.
Speakers, artists and VIPs get served. The people with the least time and the most professional need for a good photo of themselves are exactly the people who will never upload to a photo wall.
Published biometric retention and EU hosting. We do face matching, which means processing biometric data, and we publish what happens to it: explicit consent before the selfie, selfie data deleted after 30 days, the face index deleted a year after upload, all in our privacy policy. This matters more for us than for them precisely because they are not doing face matching.
Galleries live 365 days on every plan, including the cheapest.
We can supply the crews. Our agency arm shoots the event if you want it to. Fotify is software only.

They Are Not Actually Alternatives
This is the part most comparison pages get wrong, so we will be direct: for a lot of events the right answer is both, and for a lot of others it is only one of us.
Only Fotify: a birthday, a family party, a small wedding with no hired photographer. There are no professional photos to deliver, and the value is entirely in what guests capture. Paying us 188 EUR would buy you nothing.
Only TIME&SPACE: a conference, a festival, a corporate event, a gala. You hired photographers, they will produce thousands of frames, and the problem you have is that almost nobody will ever see themselves in them.
Both: a wedding with a photographer. Fotify collects the guests' side of the night, we deliver the photographer's side to each guest by face. They do not conflict, and they are not sold against each other.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much does Fotify cost?
As of 23 September 2026 they publish per-event pricing with a free tier at 50 photos, rising to roughly 49.99 EUR for their premium event plan and a professional tier above it, in euros for a visitor in Portugal, with a money-back guarantee. Ours is 188, 488 and 888 EUR per event. Check their page for current figures.
Q: Does Fotify do face recognition?
Their public site does not describe it. Searched on 23 September 2026, their homepage does not use the words "face recognition", "facial recognition" or "selfie". Their product is built around guests uploading their own photos. If face matching matters to you, ask them directly rather than trusting anyone's comparison page, this one included.
Q: Is there a cheaper alternative to TIME&SPACE?
Yes, and we would rather tell you than have you find out after buying. If your event has no professional photographer, a guest-upload product like Fotify does a different job for a fraction of the price. We are worth the money when someone is being paid to take photographs and those photographs need to reach the people in them.
Q: Can I use both at the same event?
Yes. They do not interfere: one collects from guests, the other delivers from photographers.
