What PhoTech Is
PhoTech is a Portuguese-language service at photech.pt, which its own footer says is built by Accountech, a digital services company. Read on 26 October 2026, the public site is a search page: the user captures or uploads an image and the system looks for it "in private archives", with a reserved area that has a login and a cart. The Terms of Service (version 3.0, dated 22 April 2026) describe a monthly or annual subscription paid through Stripe and say the face recognition engine is InsightFace. The Privacy Policy (version 2.1, same date) says images are converted into 512-dimension mathematical descriptors, that they are not sold or shared for marketing, and that the user can ask for their archive and biometric data to be deleted from the account settings.
Where PhoTech Is Stronger
It is a Portuguese-language service, made for the Portuguese market. The whole site, the terms and the privacy policy are in Portuguese.
A simple, direct search. The home page is the tool itself: open the camera or upload an image and search. For someone with an archive who wants to find a face in it, it is a short path.
Published, dated conditions. The terms and privacy policy carry a version and a date, and the policy describes the kind of biometric data kept and deletion on the user's request.
A subscription. For someone working with an ongoing archive, a monthly or annual subscription may suit better than paying per event.
Where TIME&SPACE Is Stronger
It was built to deliver the photos of an event. The organiser creates the event, gets a QR code and the photographer uploads the photos. Each guest scans the code, takes a selfie and sees only the photos they appear in, with no account and no app to download. You do not have to set anything up for each guest.
A price in plain sight, per event. STARTER is EUR 188 for 500 guests and 1,500 photos. ADVANCED is EUR 488 for 2,000 guests and 5,000 photos, with Event Branding. PRO is EUR 888 for up to 10,000 guests and unlimited photos, with Event Branding. For weddings, the offer is EUR 100 for up to 100 guests or EUR 188 for up to 200 guests. You buy the event and know the cost.
The gallery lasts 365 days, on every plan. Guests come back to their photos weeks later.
Explicit consent before any face scan. The guest ticks an unticked box before the selfie. The selfie image is deleted after 30 days and the face index one year after the photo is uploaded, all in our privacy policy, with one fixed period for each.
