Event Branding: What's Actually Behind the Name
TIME&SPACE · Organiser's Playbook
Event Branding is two specific things: a custom colour scheme and a custom font on your guest gallery pages, available on ADVANCED and PRO. The logo and the tagline are not part of it, because every plan already includes those.
Event Branding: What's Actually Behind the Name
In short: Event Branding is a specific, narrow thing: a custom colour scheme and a custom font applied to your guest gallery pages. It is on ADVANCED and PRO. The organiser logo and the event tagline are not part of it, because every paid plan already has those, STARTER included.
"Event Branding" sounds like it could mean almost anything, a custom domain, a different logo everywhere, your name instead of ours. It is worth saying exactly what it is, because the gap between what it sounds like and what it does is exactly where expectations go wrong.
What it changes
From the event dashboard's branding page, an ADVANCED or PRO organiser can set a primary colour and a background colour for the guest gallery, and pick a font family from a set of Google Fonts, applied across the gallery pages a guest actually visits: the scan page, the results page, the photo viewer. This is a real visual shift. A gallery in your own orange instead of TIME&SPACE's, set in a font that matches your event's own identity, reads as yours rather than as a page you were handed.
A built-in contrast check applies to the colour choice the same way it does for the QR code customiser: pick a combination that is too close together and you get a warning before you publish it, because a gallery nobody can read is worse than one in the default colours.
What is not part of it, and why that is worth knowing
The organiser logo in the gallery header and the event tagline are not gated behind Event Branding. Both are available on every paid plan, STARTER included. If all you need is your logo showing where a guest can see it and a line of text under your event's name, you do not need ADVANCED or PRO to get it. The event's cover photo is the same story: available from STARTER up, and it is a separate feature from the colour and font settings described here.
This split exists because logo and tagline are closer to identity than to design, a label every organiser should be able to put on their own event regardless of budget. Colour schemes and typography are a deeper, more deliberate customisation, and that is the part that sits behind the paid tier.
What stays TIME&SPACE's regardless of plan
Even with every available Event Branding setting configured on PRO, the gallery's URL stays timeandspace.app/e/[slug], the fallback logo on the scan page is TIME&SPACE's own mark if you have not uploaded yours, the embed widget keeps its "Powered by TIME&SPACE" footer, and guest emails come from @timeandspace.earth. None of that is Event Branding and none of it is for sale on a standard plan. A fully white-labelled experience, custom domain, no TIME&SPACE presence anywhere, is a CUSTOM plan arrangement by agreement, not a feature toggle on PRO.
The short version
Event Branding is the colours and the font on your guest gallery, ADVANCED and PRO. The logo and the tagline come with every plan already. Knowing which is which saves a conversation about why an upgrade did not change something that was never gated in the first place.
