Claiming Your Event on TIME&SPACE: What It Means When We Already Built the Page

TIME&SPACE builds a page for public events before anyone signs up. If yours already exists, claiming it is free, one click, and the link stays valid for 90 days.

In short: TIME&SPACE builds a page for public events before anyone asks us to, using the date, venue and description already published about them. If yours is one of them, claiming it is free: sign in, click once, and you become the owner. The claim link stays valid for 90 days from the day the page was built.

Why a page can exist before you ever signed up

Most event software waits for an organiser to create an account first. TIME&SPACE also runs the other direction: a page can already exist for an event we found listed publicly, built from the same information anyone searching for that event would find anyway, a date, a venue, a short description, a cover image, and a link to tickets or the organiser's own site.

That page is not published automatically just because the event exists somewhere online. It only goes live, and only becomes something search engines will index, once it clears an actual quality floor: a real date, a real venue, a genuine description taken word for word from where it was published, not written for us, and either a ticket link or the organiser's own website. An event that is missing any of that shows guests a plain "still being set up" notice instead of a half-finished page, never a padded description written to clear the bar artificially.

A claim link looks like timeandspace.app/claim/[a long code]. Anyone can open it without signing in first, on purpose: before deciding whether to make an account, you should be able to see exactly what you're being offered. The page shows the event's name, date, location, and how many photos are already live if any have been uploaded, with a short explanation that claiming makes you the owner: able to edit the details, upload photos, and set your own branding.

If the link has already been used by someone else, the page tells you plainly rather than pretending nothing happened, and gives you a way to contact us if that was a mistake. If it's genuinely not your event, there's a link right on the page to tell us so, and we take it down.

What claiming actually does

Claiming costs nothing by itself. You sign in, or create an account if you don't have one yet, and press one button. That adds you as the event's owner and nothing else changes behind the scenes: no photos move, no data resets. From there, running the event works exactly like one you'd set up from scratch, choose STARTER, ADVANCED or PRO depending on its size, and you get the guest limit, photo limit and branding that plan includes.

The link itself stays valid for 90 days from the day the page was built. After that it stops working, though the event and anything already on it stay exactly where they are. If you find an expired link for your own event, email us and we'll send a new one rather than you losing the page.

The short version

If TIME&SPACE already built a page for your event, claiming it is free, takes one click once you're signed in, and the link works for 90 days. Nothing is lost by waiting, and nothing is charged just for taking ownership. The only thing that expires is the link, not the event.
